Pharmacy

The UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center pharmacy includes three specialty areas:

• Retail/Outpatient
• Infusion
• Investigational Drug Services

Retail/Outpatient Pharmacy

This pharmacy provides outpatient prescription filling services, counseling, and insurance billing for patients. Clinic and infusion patients may choose to fill their prescriptions at this location.

Infusion Pharmacy

This pharmacy provides medications for all patient care areas in the Cancer Center using Pyxis MedStations, an automated medication management system that guarantees correct medication and dosage for every patient. There is also a state-of-the-art sterile compounding clean room in which all patient parenteral medications (i.e., chemotherapy) are prepared, safety-checked, and monitored.

Investigational Drug Services

This area serves investigators who conduct clinical research by assisting in the scientific, clinical, and administrative functions of research, as well as by preparing and dispensing.

On the 1st floor, to the right of the lobby elevators, just before the Infusion Center.
