The Moores UCSD Cancer Center website has been serving the Internet community for nine years. The site was designed with our audience in mind, and features:

How to Navigate

Everyone browses the Web differently, and the Cancer Center Website provides several pathways to find information.

Homepage Splash

You will find four major sections Patient Care, Research, Outreach, and Prevention on the Homepage, each featuring links to relevant information. Footer navigation menus are provided to access utilities and other important topics.

Top Tab Menu

A click on the Rebecca and John Moores UCSD Cancer Center banner graphic at the top of each page will return you to our Homepage.

The Top Menu is organized into five groups. Each major topic continues the tab color scheme throughout its section. The tabs are:

• Patient Care
  Cancer Specialties; the NCI's Cancer Information Service.
• Research
  The Center's Research Programs and the services that support research, called Shared Resources; Clinical / Research Summaries of out faculty members; Research Funding Opportunities.
• Outreach
  Survivorship information such as Social Services and Support Groups; Clinical Trials for patients and volunteers; Community Based Cancer Education Programs.
• Prevention
  Smoking and nutrition programs; early detection recommendations; signs and symptoms of a variety of cancers.
• About Us
  Current News fundraising, and information about each of our administrative departments.

Left Navigation Bars

Each page contains a color coded navigation bar on the left, providing quick and easy access to other information relating to the current section.

Site Searching

A search box is located at the bottom of each Left Navigation Bar.  Type in your search criteria and click Go or press enter.

Bottom Menu

There are links at the bottom of each page that point to important Center menu topics. Here is a consistent avenue to find your way back to the home page or our intranet site for faculty and staff, called ONcLINE.

Dynamic Content

The Center's website features dynamic web pages to access information stored in our database systems. Dynamic database systems include:
