Function
of Industy Relations
The
Office of Industry Relations (OIR) initiates and manages partnerships
between private industry and Moores Cancer Center basic scientists, physician
scientists and clinicians seeking support for research and advanced patient
care programs.

Includes basic cellular and genetic research, translational drug
and vaccine development, new therapeutics, early phase trials of
new cancer treatments, and Phase II and III trials.

and Characterizes Program Solicitation |
Assists
in the assembly of proposals for support, and negotiates the agreements.

Meets
with industry representatives to discuss potential collaborations
Meets with UCSD scientists and administrators to facilitate negotiations
and
final agreements
Works with the Office of Technology Transfer to facilitate Material
Transfer Agreements, patent
applications and equity arrangements.
