Overview

Provides a group of specialized techniques and rare equipment to examine cellular functions of candidate genes. Offers expensive and powerful image-capture technology, in lapsed or real time, which can be critical to achieve basic research objectives of today's laboratory. Interfaces with the VisLab of the San Diego Supercomputer Center to provide enhanced 3-D perspective views of data sets. The DeltaVision and Zeiss LSCM are housed in the new SOM Microscopy Facility along with the Neurosciences Microscopy Core.
